2.0

We’ve lost count of how many times we’ve started over.

Not just with our health, but with FitWoody itself.

When we launched the first version almost two years ago, we were proud but deep down, we knew it wasn’t the app we dreamed of. It was a beginning. A first attempt. Something that worked, but that carried too many compromises, too much old code, too many ideas half-done.

So this time we made a radical decision: no fixes, no recycling, no shortcuts. We erased everything. A blank page, and the question: If we could rebuild FitWoody from zero today, knowing everything we’ve learned from you and from ourselves… what would it look like?

That’s how FitWoody 2.0 was born. Not an update. A reinvention.

Because starting again is not failure it’s sometimes the only way to move forward.

We know how it feels to begin with all the motivation in the world: new shoes, a playlist on repeat, that vague but powerful idea of “this time, I’ll change.” And then… life happens. Work gets messy, stress piles up, you’re tired, you skip a day, then two. Suddenly, you’ve joined the statistics of Quitters Day without even noticing.

We’ve been there too. More times than we’d like to admit.

That’s why FitWoody exists. Not to sell you a fantasy of six-packs and 30-day transformations, but to be a companion that fits the life you really have busy, imperfect, unpredictable and still helps you move forward.

What’s inside this first beta

It all starts with Metabolic Analysis.

Every night, while you sleep, your Apple Watch quietly records signals from your body: heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, breathing rate, oxygen saturation, temperature. Instead of leaving you with raw numbers, FitWoody 2.0 translates them into something you can act on: how ready are you today? You wake up with a clear sense of whether your body is asking for intensity or for recovery. No guessing, no guilt.

Adaptive Daily Goals

Your activity goal now adjusts automatically based on how you feel each day. Poor sleep, low HRV, or signs of fatigue? FitWoody lowers the target so you can recover without guilt. Slept well, high readiness? It pushes you a little further. Every day, the goal adapts —so your progress is sustainable, not all-or-nothing.

Then there’s Sleep Analysis.

Because sleep is more than “hours in bed.” FitWoody looks at the quality of your night REM, core, deep sleep and shows you why it matters for today. Did you get enough recovery to face that workout? Is your poor sleep the missing piece behind your low energy? These insights connect your nights to your days, making rest part of your training, not an afterthought.

And finally, Training Analysis.

Because crossing the finish line of a workout is only part of the story. FitWoody shows you how that effort fits into the bigger picture: compared to your usual pace, your energy, your goals. Was it the push you needed, or a signal that you might be overdoing it? Charts and stats are there, but always anchored in context helping you understand, not overwhelm you.

These three pillars: metabolism, sleep, training are where the beta begins. They’re our way of giving you clarity on how you are today.

What’s coming next

But this is just the first step. We’re already working on the long-term view, so you can zoom out and see weeks and months of progress. Because health is built in consistency, not in one “perfect” day.

And we’re building the new Planner a system that adapts to your real life. Some days you’ll have time and energy, others you won’t. The planner will make sure both kinds of days matter. No all-or-nothing, no guilt, just sustainable progress.

Alongside that, more pieces will come together:

  • The Apple Watch app (rebuilt from scratch).

  • Widgets and complications.

  • Other details that make daily tracking easier and more natural.

We want to prepare all of these together with you during the beta, and we’ll be releasing something new every single week until the full launch in October when iOS 26 officially arrives and FitWoody 2.0 feels ready, complete, and alive.

Availability

The beta is available now for iOS 18 and above, and for watchOS 11 and above.

If you’re running the iOS 26 beta, you’ll also notice that FitWoody has been entirely redesigned to breathe in the new liquid glass design language more depth, more clarity, more life.

The Apple Watch app, widgets and complications will arrive in the next months, leading up to the full launch in October.

When we look at FitWoody 2.0, we don’t just see an app. We see a chance to rewrite the story we’ve lived ourselves the one where you give up too early, or aim too high, or get lost in data you don’t understand.

This is our attempt to build something warmer. Kinder. Smarter. An app that adapts to you, celebrates your small victories, and keeps you going on the days you’d rather give up.

That’s why we say: this is not just a new app.

It’s a new way of listening to your body.

And maybe, if you let it, a new you.

A note from us

We’re not a big company. We’re just two indie builders: a designer and a developer who’ve been at this for months, often late at night, throwing away more lines of code than we kept, redesigning screens again and again until they felt right.

Opening this beta feels like opening a window after a long winter: exciting, terrifying, but necessary.

We hope, when you download it, you don’t just see features. We hope you feel the intention behind them.
