Connect to Garmin
FitWoody connects to Garmin through Apple Health. This means that Garmin must first share your activity and health data with Apple Health. Once that’s done, FitWoody can read it and use it to personalize your experience. Note: For Garmin, FitWoody only reads data we do not write anything back to Garmin.

1. Set up Garmin to share data with Apple Health
Open the Garmin Connect app on your iPhone.
Go to More → Settings → Connected Apps.
Select Health (Apple Health).
Enable sharing for all relevant categories (workouts, steps, heart rate, etc.).
2. Allow FitWoody to read that data in Apple Health
Once Garmin is sharing data with Apple Health, make sure FitWoody has permission to read it:
From the Health app:
Open the Health app on your iPhone.
Tap the Sharing tab.
Go to Apps and Services.
Tap FitWoody.
Enable Read access for all available data categories.
From iOS Settings (in some versions):
Open the Settings app.
Scroll down and tap Health.
Tap Data Access & Devices.
Select FitWoody.
Enable Read access for all categories.
3. If Garmin data is not showing in FitWoody
Double-check that Garmin Connect is actively syncing with Apple Health.
Confirm that the data appears in the Health app (if it’s not there, FitWoody won’t see it).
If needed, try offloading and reinstalling FitWoody to refresh permissions (see Apple Health FAQ for steps).
Tip: As long as Garmin Connect shares your data with Apple Health, FitWoody will keep it in sync automatically no manual imports needed.
